1.5in. B-Deck” is a dependable and cost-effective structural roofing deck designed to provide a strong base for a wide range of commercial and industrial roofing systems. When properly engineered, B-Deck also contributes to overall building stability, making it a trusted choice for demanding structural applications. Common applications include roof decking for Flat Roofs (EPDM, TPO, Modified Bitumen, and BUR), and to provide solid substrate for Standing Seam Roof installations.
Engineered for performance and versatility, the 1.5in. B-Deck” can be used as a standalone roof deck or as part of a composite roofing system. Its ribbed profile delivers excellent load-carrying capacity while supporting efficient installation and long-term durability.
Composite Steel Floor Deck
1.5in. B-Deck” is typically specified as a structural steel decking used for Composite Steel Floors, in two types of systems. with either wood subfloor directly over the 1.5in. B-Deck”, or concrete poured directly over metal deck. In an engineered system, a Composite Steel Floor Deck will consist of an 1.5in. B-Deck” panel system with an edge angle acting as "form boards" ,a common example of which are 4"x4" Angle Irons, with concrete creating a structurally sound floor system. The 1.5in. B-Deck” panels will be manufactured with Embossed Vertical Ribs when used in a concrete mezzanine floor to give the panels more surface area to adhere to the concrete.
