Sherwin-Williams Painted Metal
From homes to commercial buildings, our metal panels come in a wide range of lasting colors to match your vision. Metal Warehouse Inc. finishes its painted panels in Sherwin-Williams SMP, the factory-applied coil coating sold as WeatherXL, known for holding its color in the North Texas sun and weather.
SMP is a silicone-modified polyester coil coating applied in two coats over a pre-treated substrate. It is engineered for strong resistance to scratching, chalking, fading, and weathering, and is available in a wide palette that runs from bright white to jet black, including solar-reflective (SR) formulations that meet ENERGY STAR and LEED criteria.

Standard Colors
Our 14 standard colors, stocked in 26 gauge SMP across our roofing, siding, and trim profiles, all carrying the 40-year paint warranty. Colors shown are on-screen approximations - request a physical metal chip to confirm the exact shade before you order.
Premium Colors
Three premium colors, also 26 gauge SMP. A surcharge applies to the premium range, so ask us for pricing when you request your quote.
Unpainted Galvalume is available on our structural deck products and on the 24 gauge standing seam profiles, which can also be finished in PVDF (Kynar). Custom color match is available with a minimum order quantity.

Two Sherwin-Williams painted systems, plus unpainted metallic options. Which one you can have depends on the panel, so the notes below say where each is used.
Silicone-modified polyester, our standard painted finish. Two-coat system with a 40-year paint warranty and 17 stock colors: 14 standard and 3 premium. Used on PBR, PBU, AG, 1" Nail Strip and 12" Board & Batten.
Premium painted system with superior color and gloss retention and best-in-class chalk and fade resistance. 35-year warranty. Available on the 24 gauge standing seam panels.
Unpainted zinc-aluminum alloy coated steel, bright metallic look. Available on structural deck products and on the 24 gauge standing seam panels.
G-60 standard on B-Deck and Composite Deck, G-90 on special order. G90 galvanizing is also available on structural framing members.

What paint finish does Metal Warehouse use?
Our painted panels use Sherwin-Williams SMP (silicone-modified polyester), the coating system sold as WeatherXL. It is a two-coat, factory-applied paint system engineered for durability in extreme conditions, with strong resistance to chalking, fading, scratching, and weathering. Our 24 gauge standing seam profiles are also available in PVDF (Kynar) or unpainted Galvalume.
How long is the paint warranty?
Our SMP painted finishes carry a 40-year manufacturer paint warranty covering film integrity, chalk, and fade, backed by Sherwin-Williams. PVDF finishes on the 24 gauge standing seam profiles carry a 35-year warranty. Ask us for the current warranty document for the exact color and substrate you select.
Do the on-screen colors match the real panels?
The color tiles on this page are on-screen approximations only. Actual color varies by substrate, gloss level, and lighting. Before you order, request a physical metal chip sample so you can confirm the exact shade in daylight.
What colors and finishes can I get on my panels?
We stock 17 colors: 14 standard and 3 premium, with a surcharge on the premium range. PBR, PBU, AG, 1 inch Nail Strip and 12 inch Board and Batten are available in SMP colors. The 1-3/4 inch Snap Lock and 2 inch Mechanical Lock standing seam panels are available in Galvalume or PVDF. Custom color match is available with a minimum order quantity.
