How Welded Wire Mesh Is Made
A welded wire mesh is a series of steel wires welded at the wire cross-sections using one of the many welding techniques, such as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding and resistance spot welding. The manufacturing process involves the spools of wires being threaded into a weld mesh machine, with separate ones being fed through a straightener and pre-cut to match the desired width of the mesh.
The wires from the spools are then fed into the machine. The pre-cut wires are then laid across the wires from the spools. From there, the machine applies a uniform and simultaneous weld at each cross-section.
